OB Infinity Jewellery
Silver jewellery handcrafted with love.
OB Infinity Jewellery welcomes you to our website.
We are Gill and Hilary, two sisters who were inspired to take up silversmithing, following a desire to make something lasting and special from stones polished in a rock tumbler by Hilary's son, Oscar. We went on a silversmithing course to learn the basic techniques and as we walked away, each proudly wearing a ring with these special stones set in them, we were hooked. We set up a workshop in Hilary's garden cabin and began making gifts for friends and family. After receiving great feedback and most importantly, really enjoying it, we decided to set up OB Infinity Jewellery and see if we could make a business out of doing something we love.

OB Infinity Jewellery is registered with the Sheffield Assay Office (SAO). This enables us to produce heavier pieces of jewellery, which we send to SAO for testing and confirmation of the quality of the silver. These pieces are hallmarked as a sign of meeting the benchmark set by the British assay office. The hallmark is made up of three symbols. The first symbol is our makers mark an infinity symbol with the letters OB within it, which we have registered with SAO. The second confirms the type of silver used ie. sterling .925 or fine .999. Whilst the third is the Sheffield rose, indicating which assay office we are registered with. We do stamp all items, where possible, with our makers stamp, even when they do not need assaying.
As our jewellery is handmade, every piece of jewellery we make will be slightly different but therefore unique and perfect as a gift for someone special. All jewellery is presented in a lovely gift box.
